They got my phone number off of my profile, and sent me a text message. Either these requests were ignored, or I was provided with vague, non-identifiable information. Take note, I asked several times for the phone number and contact information for his specific office and his extension. Most of this interaction was via Google Hangouts, as requested in the text message.Įarly on, I was suspicious having encountered scams before, I went along trying to get more information. I wanted to post this one as an example of some of the employment scams people are presented with largely, they are phishing scams ( digging for personal information: bank account number, mailing/physical address, social security number etc). Today, I was solicited with an employment scam.
